SCS, or Scientific Certification Systems is an organization dedicated to ensuring that their partners utilize conflict-free recycled metals and ethically sourced gemstones. To obtain a SCS certification, suppliers must meet fundamental benchmarks of social and environmental accountability by: practicing risk management throughout their supply chain, treating workers fairly according to international labor standards, and abstaining from destructive environmental practices while mining precious metals.
