A New England proposal after our own hearts!
Congratulations to G.St couple Katie and Mary! Katie proposed to Mary while on a surprise trip to Vermont for Mary’s birthday.
This birthday was extra special since it also happened to mark eight years since the two first hung out together.
“When she told me about the weekend, I knew something exciting might be happening.” says Mary.
“When we arrived in Vermont, I was so delighted to see the adorable A-frame Airbnb Katie picked out. The next morning we woke up, had breakfast, and got ready for a day of adventuring.
Katie asked me to go outside and take some selfies in the leaves, and then handed me a card as she got down on one knee. It feels like the moment was a blur, but it was definitely one I will never forget.”
Mary had previously told Katie that she wanted an engagement ring that was timeless, but also unique. Katie traveled from Philadelphia to NYC and worked with custom design specialist @gst_dana to bring that vision to life.
Together the two added unique elements to the G.St Ceremony Ann engagement ring to make it one-of-a-kind.
“It truly felt like it was the "Mary" ring,” says Katie. “I initially felt that this was going to be a difficult challenge, but now I feel successful in making it happen. I couldn't have done it without Dana's help. It means the world to me that Mary has a ring that didn't exist prior to my decision to design a custom ring at Greenwich St. Jewelers.
Mary said it best when she was regaling the good news to her mom on FaceTime…"I truly don't think I could have ever picked out a ring that I like more than this."
