Using a seasoned team of gemologists, designers, and expert jewelers, the custom design division of Greenwich Jewelers has become a trademark of our company. We believe everyone should get exactly what they wantat any price point and our team and in house shop allows us the flexibility to deliver exactly that.

1. Consult.
Your dream design starts with a simple consultation in our boutique. We encourage you to bring along photos, sketches or inspiration of the piece you want; you can even describe it to our team of experts. Together, we'll work with you to create exactly what you're imagining, advising you on stone quality and sourcing, precious metals (platinum, palladium, gold, and silver), comfort, wear, and options for recycled materials and sustainability, too.

2. Design.
Whether you're drawn to vintage or more modern stylings, we have an affinity for both old-world techniques and contemporary innovations. After reviewing examples of what you'd like to create either through pictures or actual product from our store we will determine the best way to create your jewelry. We have an extensive library of catalogs to reference and can create a computer-aided design rendering (CAD) for you to review. Given your input, we will alter a rendering until it meets your exact expectations.

3. Model Creation.
Once you've approved all design renderings, we will create a model. This is a great way for you to see if the rendering is translating to what you really want in reality. Once this stage has been approved, we can move onto actual metal castings.

4. Casting.
Once the design has been approved by you, the piece can now be cast. Most pieces are cast in recycled precious metals including 14-karat or 18-karat gold, platinum, sterling silver and palladium.

5. Setting.
We hand set your stones to exact specifications called for in your design, using years of experience and care to ensure quality and peace of mind. Our gem setters are masters of micro pave, pave, channel, bead, gypsy and prong setting.

6. Texture. Finish. Detailing.
It's all about making a piece your own and exceeding your expectations as well as ours. So, once your custom piece has been cast and set, our team of expert jewelers will hand-finish your piece to bring out the shine and detail in even the most intricate of designs. We'll also fully review and examine your piece at this time to ensure that every step of the process has yielded a design that will far exceed your expectations.
